Cole sure has a strange way of showing his love for me. Here are two funny stories from the last couple of days:
On Tuesday he came home from pre-school and had been learning about "Dr. Martin Luther King" so I started asking him what he learned and why this man was important. He told me that he was special and becuase he had a dream that people with different colors of skin could get along. So I tried to take this opportunity to teach him about what life was like before this time, and then explained that it is good to be friends with everyone - it doesn't matter what color their skin is, what color their hair is, what color their eyes are, etc. and he interrupts me and says "Oh like you mom, I can be your friend even though you're a girl but you have short hair"
Today I was singing to the kids while I made breakfast and Cole yells out "No Mom! Wait, how many judges are there again on American Idol?" (I tell him 4) "OK, well then theis is what you would hear if you were on American Idol: No, No, No, NO. You're NOT going to Hollywood!"
And this has nothing to do with me personally, but still makes me laugh when I think of it. The other night Cole declared that "my two worst enemies are JEANS and SLEEPING"
Lastly - a sweet one - yesterday I took Alaria in to the doctor (double ear infection - ow!) and Cole was so cute, he drew a picture of him with a doctor and wrote on it "Thanks for taking care of my little sister" and gave it to the doctor - I seriously think it made her day, she was so shocked and Cole was so proud!

HAHAHAHA that American Idol story is HILARIOUS!
Drawing a picture for the doctor was very sweet as well.
Sometimes they are just too honest.
Funny stories. I'll have to remember that American Idol one. Good material.
Awesome stories Michelle! The doctors I work for love when they get pictures and notes from kids
What a cute kid! I love the american idol story. That is hilarious! I would say two of Maleah's worst enemies are Jeans and Sleeping too....makes perfect sense.
Jeans are my worst enemy too. :) Your kids are cuties!
There never seems to be a dull moment when Cole is around! He is so funny!
